    If you're in Armidale you can't get better for a good pub with friendly service, great food and warm wood fire heating.

    Went with wife for dinner on Saturday nite. Two thirds empty, unhappy atmosphere and slow service. Asked for refund for dinner after finding they hadn't even started it after long wait. Rude refusal from disinterested staff. Armidale has 8 other pubs to choose from!

    Actually an OK option for food - the steak was good as was the vegetarian lasagne. Big portions served with salad and chips. The beer garden is a nice place to sit when it's still warm and there was live music when we were there.

    Best steaks in the region. Happy hour from 4 to 6. Great place.
