If you keep your eyes open you'll also see the occasional koala in the trees near the administration block and kangaroos on the path in from the carpark.

The library at this school is HUGE. I liked to study in the basement area that had a nice underground feel to it and was generally quieter than the other levels.

The best university for distance education. They mainly specialise in agricultural courses but they have fairly good science facilities too with lecturers who are genuinely interested in their subjects. The science courses have intensive schools where distance education students arrive from all around the world to do a couple of weeks of practical assessments. I've heard that it's best not to stay in the on-campus accommodation if you're coming in for intensives because the on-campus students who are in holidays tend to make too much noise. I saw one student who dropped out of a science unit during intensives just because he couldn't get enough sleep in the on-campus accommodation. So during the intensives, try to book in at one of the caravan parks in the area and figure out how to commute in. Finding a parking spot can be problematic sometimes too so leave some extra time to walk to class. Also be prepared to catch the flu during intensives - happens every year with that many people arriving from around the world. So stock up on flu medication.

Terrible University, no respect for students. If your white or male then forget about getting a go at this racist sexist sorry excuse for a University. I seriously don't understand how some of the so called "lecturers" still have jobs considering how ridiculously long it takes to get marks or feedback back and the looney tunes nonsense that they use to mark assignments. Fail!

Pretty good. Very precise distance education machine that works. Not sure what on campus would be like, but distance was good. Surprised they aren't further up the academic ranks of Australian Universities though, I've studied at Monash, UNISA, and University of Western Sydney, UNE is up there in my opinion.

The computing building looks interesting and I believe most of the computing units don't have intensives meaning you can do the whole computing degree without setting foot on campus.
